The purpose of this project was to design special gift packaging. Drawing inspiration from one of their most popular pairs of shoes, the Adidas Superstars, this package set includes a bag and two different sized boxes. All pieces shown are constructed by hand and have the functionality to be knocked down flat.

The Set

The gold comes from the accent color on the Superstar shoes with each piece utilizing it differently. The combination of black on black with gold creates a sense of luxury and exclusivity along with an exciting unboxing experience. Both boxes are drawn from the shape of the stripes in the Adidas logo.

The Bag

The bag is 9" tall, 8" wide, and 9" long. The design strays away from traditional bag shapes as a more unique shape conveys a greater sense of luxury/high-end aesthetic. The bag is also more sturdy in this structure, which allows for more usability. The edge of the gold trim matches the pinking of the three stripes on the Superstar shoes.

Big Box

This box is 7" tall, 6" wide, and 6" long and is based on the shape of the stripes in the Adidas logo with a gold finish on the inside of the main flap. To continue with the motif of three stripes, three of the smaller boxes can fit perfectly inside this bigger box.

Small Box

The small box is 6" tall, 2" wide, and 2" long. The opening mechanism is a single-string pull system. Both ends are tied in a knot so when you pull from the outside, the interior knot catches onto the side flaps thus opening the main cover and side flaps all at once. This creates an elegant and unique openeing experience to reveal the all gold interior.
